"Our
mission is to expand and deepen public and personal knowledge of reptile natural history and conservation through education,
outreach, and hands-on experience." - UMHS Mission Statement The University of Missouri Herpetological Society was started in 2007 by group
of students and faculty interested in reptile husbandry, natural history, and conservation. UMHS stresses the importance
of continuing education and broadening skill-sets while retaining a down to earth attitude.
Currently, UMHS holds monthly meetings that are open to the public. Please go to the "Upcoming Events" page
to see meeting and presentation dates and locations. Due to University policy, only
students/staff of the University of Missouri can become official members of UMHS. However, UMHS believes herpetology
is for everyone to enjoy and encourages any interested person to attend our meetings and events. If you
are a student/staff member and wish to join UMHS, please contact UMHS President Quentin Hall. Please see the
"Board of Directors" page for Quentin's contact information.
